Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken or pork
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 4 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, pepper, and water in a pot.
  2. Add meat and marinate for 30 minutes if possible.
  3. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30–40 minutes until the meat is tender.
  4. Serve hot with rice.
