Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken thighs (cut into pieces)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sake (or water)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. Marinate chicken with soy sauce, sake, ginger, and garlic for 30 minutes.
  2. Coat pieces lightly in cornstarch.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Fry chicken for 4–5 minutes until golden.
  5. Drain and serve with lemon wedges.
