Braised Pork Belly

Ingredients

  • Pork Belly 2 lbs
  • Green Onion 1 bunch
  • Ginger Few Slices
  • Mogami Canola Olive Oil 2 Tbsp
  • Simbo Yellow Rock Sugar 1 Tbsp
  • Asian Taste Shaoxing Cooking Wine 3 Tbsp
  • Lee Kum Kee Soy Sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Lee Kum Kee Premium Dark Soy Sauce 1/2 Tbsp
  • Water 2 cups

Directions

  1. Cut pork belly into desired size. Bring water to boil and add in few slices of ginger, few stems of green onion, and pork belly. Cook the pork belly until it turn white on the surface and take it out of the pot.
  2. In a wok, with medium high heat, add in Vegetable Oil, Rock Sugar, and Pork Belly. Cook Until the pork belly turn brown.
  3. Add in Shaoxing Wine, Soy Sauce and Dark Soy Sauce and cook for a few minutes
  4. Add in Water, with medium low heat, cover with lid and simmer for 1 hour. Until most liquids are evaporated.
  5. Ready to serve in your favorite dinnerware, and sprinkle some chopped Green Onion as garnish
