Pork Char Siu

Ingredients
- Pork Shoulder 12 ounces
- Char Siu Sauce 4 tbsp
- Oyster Sauce 1 tbsp
- Light Soy Sauce 1/2 tbsp
- Chinese 5 Spice Powder 1/4 tsp
- Chili Powder 1/2 tsp
- Garlic 6 cloves
- Ginger 8 pieces
- Honey 2 tsp
Directions
- In a large bowl whisk together Char Siu sauce, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, Chinese 5 Spice powder, chili powder, garlic, ginger, and honey until well combined.
- Place the pork shoulder in a gallon size freezer bag.
- Pour the Char Siu sauce mixture over the pork shoulder and close the bag. Make sure to save some for basting.
- Massage the mixture into the pork shoulder and refrigerate for 6 hours.
- Place the pork on a baking rack over a cooking tray and fill the bottom of the tray with water.
- Roast in the oven at 450F for 30–45 minutes.
- Baste every 10–15 minutes with the remaining sauce.
- Let the pork cool, then slice it and serve with rice.
